AdSnow (“we”, “us”) operates this classifieds website. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights. For users in India, we act as the Data Fiduciary under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”).

When you post an ad: the title, description, price, category, state, city and any contact phone/email you choose to provide. This information is published publicly on the site once approved.

Automatically: basic log data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) for security and to keep the service running, and cookies (see below).

2. How we use your data

• To publish and display your classified ad.
• To review ads (including automated AI screening) for safety and legality.
• To prevent fraud, abuse and spam.
• To show advertising that helps keep the service free.

3. Legal basis & consent

We process your data on the basis of the consent you give when you submit an ad or accept cookies, and for legitimate uses permitted under the DPDP Act. You may withdraw consent at any time (see “Your rights”).

4. Cookies & advertising

We use essential cookies for the site to function. With your consent, we and our advertising partner (Google AdSense) may use cookies to show and measure ads. Until you accept, ads are served on a non-personalised basis. You can manage choices via our cookie banner or your browser settings. Google’s use of data is described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Contact details you publish in an ad are visible to other users by design. We share limited data with infrastructure and advertising providers strictly to operate the service.

6. Retention

We keep ad data while the ad is live and for a reasonable period afterwards for fraud-prevention and legal compliance, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights under the DPDP Act

• Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification — correct or complete your data.
• Erasure (“right to be forgotten”).
• Withdraw consent at any time.
• Grievance redressal through our Grievance Officer.

8. Children

AdSnow is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly process the data of children without verifiable parental consent.
